It’s been a looong time since I’ve played Fate/GO.
It’s basically 50% a visual novel. The turn-based roleplaying gameplay is really easy. (I assume until the endgame) It’s pretty fun, though.
The story’s… enjoyable, it’s really Cute and Funny, but it’s not very… exciting. It all feels predictable, the stakes don’t feel super high. You know, it’s good for what it is.
I can barely get through visual novels that are incredible and gripping, like Higurashi.

There was a funny part today where uhhhh… Saber was looking for his gf around town, and your friend who knows both of you is like, apologizing to Saber because he thinks the girl’s competing with him for you, and Saber interprets that as like physical combat and insists no-one will beat him, and he won’t let anyone near you. The guy’s glad that Saber’s so enthusiastic about being your partner.

MAN, that was a great book. 10/10, highly recommend. HIGHLY. PERFECT entry to get into Gene Wolfe. Just so cool. And respectful to Odin, too,(FAR moreso than larpagans are to him) it’s not just him being a submissive and breedable femboy being humiliated by angels or anything. The pagan gods still have power beyond human comprehension, and Odin and his family do all kinds of awesome stuff in the story. They just have their place in the hierarchy. And all places are necessarily below God.
