I didn’t even know it was possible. Not only that, I thought I had done something REALLY awesome because I even caught it without the Sinking Lure. But I read online that—hahahaha “I read online”, do you remember saying that? Well, whatever *I read* that you actually CAN’T catch it with the Sinking Lure as a child. So still really cool, but not as cool as I thought.

I took that pic in 2022. 2 decades of playing Ocarina of Time before I learned you can catch the Hylian Loach as a child. None now can know the joy of those times.

Endangered Species

Hey. The next story in Endangered Species is The HORARS of War. It’s about a human who’s been secretly inserted into a group of genetically-modified soldiers, the HORARS, just to study them and report on them, I think in an attempt to humanize them for the public. They’re not human, they’re basicallyyyyy… men grown around metal skeletons. They’re supersoldiers bred for war. But our protag played college ball. Could have gone pro. So he does a good job keeping his cover.

Okay, so he’s at a camp with them, the Enemy is on the other side of the jungle. I can’t really give you the uh… well, anyway, he talks about what they’re like, what it’s like living with them, etc. And all the new waaaaaaaar tech they’ve got.

It’s interesting.

Anyway, Enemy attaccs, overruns the camp, our guy gets injured in the leg. He makes someone(Brenner) look into his wound and tell him what they see. They said they see metal.

Brenner tells him that he(protag) is a HORAR too, and they just implanted human memories into him—there’s no way a human could ever keep up with them. Our guy refuses to believe that.

“People are tougher than you think, Brenner; you’ve never tried.”

We’re left with the possibility that he was human after all—the metal that Brenner saw could have been a rod they put in his leg when he broke it playing football. We don’t know for sure. Unfortunately, the camp’s wiped out, him included. Something interesting is that the Enemy takes human prisoners but not HORARS. We don’t know if he died because he was a HORAR and they wouldn’t take him, or if he died fighting with them.

next story after thaaaaaaat was The Detective of Dreams, but we’ve already read that—a bunch of screwed up people being tormented by the same man in their dreams, detective realizes in the end that it was Christ.

One guy’s(a banker who wouldn’t forgive another’s debt) dream was spooky; he kept refusing to forgive the man in front of their Employer, even after his Employer forgave his debt. Then a sinister, inhuman arm was opening a door to come get him. Every dream, the door would open a bit more.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Hopefully he uh… decides to forgive him after all, as he himself was forgiven.

Latest story is Peritonitis. As far as I can tell, it’s people living within a human body. Or, you know, maybe they’re cells, but you know—they’re people. It’s llahahaha what’s that anime that I’ve never seen… never mind. Anyway, the body is dying I guess. You get it; the world was growing for a golden age, then it started dying. Very good so far.

I don’t like when he’s mean to little kids lol but uhhhhhhh Gypsy’s mostly preddy cool. And frankly, it’s *overall* important work, white people are so terrible at standing up for themselves in the face of decades of systematic dehumanization of them. ½ of white Americans are completely insane racial cuckolds who will literally kneel before goblins that hate them because they’ve been mindrped with simplistic, cartoonish portrayals of history. And that’s just not healthy in any way; not on an individual level and not for society. Hatred isn’t Christian but realism is necessarily Christian. If you’re not being honest about little girls being viciously stabbed in the neck because they’re white, or disproportionate violent crime in general, or even about uhhhhh… starting wars on behalf of people who hate Jesus in order to bring forth the antichrist, then you’re not really being Christian, you’re prioritizing what feels comfortable.

I don’t really think Gypsy even really HATES anyone tbh. I get the impression that he’s just angry about the state of the world. Who could blame him? Every day it’s the same murder stories on the timeline, and then to add insult to injury you’re told “Erm, actually it wasn’t a hate crime when he raped killed and ate her because of her race, because racism= power+prejudice😊” it’s enough to drive you INSANE if you let it.
