Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Hey. I hope you’re feeling well. Pls lemme know. I’mmmm… okay. imok

Can I be a little nostalgic with you? I’m sorry.

First, ONCE MORE: I hope you’re feeling well. Please be feeling well first.

Lemme see… hey, get a snack or something, it’s gonna be a long dumb blog

Thaaank you for this one last big mistake

Ask, stop singing Elf Tower New Mexico is a quote from my friend.

(You don’t have to listen to that, it’s not a great song, and even the singer hates it)

Obviously my name isn’t Ask, you’ve already figured out my name. But that’s the quote. “Stop singing Elf Tower New Mexico” and idk, it just makes me smile. It’s such a funny name of a song. And the order to “stop singing” is just FUNNY, IT’S FUNNY.

Let’s count the years. It was before the Donald’s first term. It’s been over 10 years.

Idk why I’ve always remembered it, it just tickles me. It’s true, I WAS singing Elf Tower New Mexico. It’s not even one of my favorite songs, NOT EVEN CLOSE, it’s just singable.

ALL of Coheed and Cambria’s songs are singable.

I guess I’ll just DOX my friend’s name, it was Rob, my friend Rob who I loved very much. I miss him.

He’s not dead, I just moved. I moved and lost everything and everyone I ever loved :)

If you’re interested in HOW MUCH I loved Rob, he’s “Ron” in my critically-acclaimed MTG post.

But it’s Coheedposting, we’re Coheedposting rn.

Rob got me into Coheed. We were on a call one day, and he left me alone for half an hour to go do something, but he left a song playing on repeat and I was forced to listen to it.

I can’t remember what song it was but I’m POSITIVE that it was either The Suffering or Evagria the Faithful, I’m POSITIVE it was one of them. I’m LEANING toward Evagria… It’s Evagria, it’s probably Evagria. (they’re both good though)

I WAS A BAD MAN
oOoOoOOoo
TO STOP YOU GIRL FROM LOVING MEe

I just sent Rob a message on Steam to see if he remembers, I’ll let you know if he replies. It must have been Evagria, though. The Suffering is a little too uh… ?energetic? To have gotten me so interested. I bet The Afterman: Ascension had just released and Rob was autistically listening to the same song over and over. That’s probably why it was on repeat.

Anyway, after half an hour of listening to it over and over and over and over again, I was completely hooked. I love Claudio Sanchez’s voice. Many do!

I once worked with a girl, a Spanish girl living in—what’s that really bad part of NJ that I can’t remember...it doesn’t matter—she and her bf were obsessed with Coheed. That made me happy. We used to play them at work and drink those little vodkas. (I loooved my boss, he was the coolest guy like, ever... but he’d play Death Metal and I HATED it. I rly liked him though. “Ask, you’re too good for this place” he told me shortly before he left. James Fishback kinda reminds me of him.) In hindsight—it wasn’t the best job ever, but it was a good job. Everything’s better in hindsight. Day-drinking at work is fun. But I guess that’s just how miserable we all really were, so no, the job wasn’t good we just managed to have a little fun.

Also the SISTER of a girl I was seeing loved Coheed. They were her favorite band! But my girl HATED them. HATED them! What the HELL was her problem? She was great otherwise.

Speaking of sisters, ROB’S SISTER loved Coheed too. We all went to see them together. I IDIOTICALLY accidentally left the venue before I could buy a shirt and they wouldn’t let us back in. But SHE WAS STILL IN THERE, SHE GOT US THE SHIRTS. She was a hero. I still have it, it’s was the uh… Neverender Tour… uh… the Silent Earth 3 one. Soooooooo good, it was such a fun night.

Okay, this is dragging on.

I lieked Coheed a lot. That’s all. I haven’t been keeping up with them. I’m not really even planning on listening to their new stuff, but maybe I will. Either way, maybe I’ll Coheedpost at you some more in smol amounts. For now you’re free.

Vidya?

First, lemme get her up here…

There we go. I’m really going to keep her until I remember to play her game. RENTAL. Free on Steam, no reason not to play it other than lack of time.

I’ve been chipping away at Dragon Quest 2. It’s… whatever.

You know what, though, tomboy ISN’T coming with us after all lol, she ran off on her own. So it’s just me and Moonbrooke.

Tiring. It’s not a HARD game, but it’s uh, MUCH harder than Dragon Quest 1. Both because of enemies and because of the big fat open world and the convoluted quests.

Still, it’s CHILD’S PLAY compared to the original. CHILD’S PLAY! They even uh… you know what one weird thing is? “Weird”, maybe not the right word. But you, the player character, cannot use magic. So in the original game, you’d just attack with your weapon or use items while your cousins are physically weaker than you but can use magic.

But now you have ABILITIES. They cost MP and do various things like lower an enemy’s defense or uh. Do extra damage to certain enemies...

It’sssssssssssss… doesn’t it defeat the… forget it, I don’t care.

I don’t care.

I don’t care.

I am now going to “play” some Higurashi. Idk if I’ll even have anything to say about it, but I’m going to do it anyway.

There, I finished another chapter >:(

why am I frowning at you lol. It’s REALLY GOOD, I just can’t talk to you about it, I don’t have the energy, on top of EVERYTHING ELSE, to recount what happens in a visual novel. Please enjoy a screenshot and that’s it.

Wanglin v. Nick

This is what I wrote the other day. I’m not going to explain these characters to you if you don’t know them, so pls feel free to skip this section if it gets too boring. Ultimately it’s just two right-wingers fighting, as they always do. It’s not worth reading unless you’re completely autistic, I am warning you.

Well, I’ve finished my assessment of the feud, and it may shock you, but I’m on Nick’s side.

As far as I can tell, it started around the time Nick hooked up with Ye? I think Andrew didn’t like that because he thought it was unserious. Which of course it was, but besides Nick just loving Ye, I think he correctly saw value in working with him to make the ideas more mainstream. But it doesn’t matter, whether it was good or bad(it was good imo) I think that was the beginning of the end.

Like most human beings, whether they admit it or not, Nick doesn’t like when his friends uh, counter-signal him. And he says it all the time. It’s INSANE to be shocked when Nick stops associating with you if you’ve been speaking against him, yet it continues to happen over and over with autistic idiots on the Right. Nick says something they don’t agree with, they publicly make sure everyone knows they disagree with him, he stops talking to them, they CAN’T BELIEVE IT. It’s like a weekly occurrence.

So when Andrew started writing articles criticizing Nick—I didn’t read them at the time, I don’t know what their tone was—Nick just cut him off. And that’s it.

People who do not understand success say the whole thing’s “cult-like”, and it’s kiiiiiinda true, but it’s really uh… a good thing. Look at the COUNTLESS failed groups and organizations of the far-right over the last 10 years. They all wanted to play dress-up and scream slurs in the street and get themselves arrested like idiots for literally zero benefit. Meanwhile Nick built up a peaceful, zealous army of religious zoomers of will do anything he says. Nick wins. Besides, people call everything they don’t like a cult. We all know that.

Aaaanyway… where was… okay, so now they’re just going back and forth calling each other feds. (or it’s really just one-way, Nick never talks about Andrew unless he’s prompted by a superchat, then he’ll say 1 sentence. But I’ve read a few of Andrew’s most recent articles, and all of them are attacking Nick. Even the Meme Monday posts now have anti-Nick memes. I remember when they used to have PRO-Nick memes. Those were better days.)

And to be honest, I think Nick also has a better point here. If it’s true that Andrew’s dad knew Tucker’s dad, that’s UHHHHH lol that’s pretty strange. Meanwhile, Andrew’s “evidence” that Nick is a fed is... Nick not blaming Israel for Kirk’s murder. And it’s really just bad faith, he’s claiming that Nick “attacks” everyone who believes it was Israel, and “refuses to consider it”—and it’s like… well, that’s not really true, is it? He “attacks” uh… Candace Owens, and that’s pretty much it. And he literally was asking people for any kind of evidence or at least a sensible theory, and all of it’s just so lacking. If *I* can deboonk Kirk Conspiracies(I can), and I’m asleep 23 hours a day and not paying attention to anything, how could Nick, who is smarter than me, possibly be expected to believe them?

And Andrew takes that and says “Now Nick is protecting the jews”. Because ONE single time he’s not believing that Israel was behind an assassination, and one of the reasons (besides there being no real evidence for it) is specifically that Kirk supported Israel so much, WHICH HE DID. So the supposed evidence contains its own refutation. Nick’s not disbelieving that some great enemy of Israel was assassinated by them, he believes they didn’t kill him because Charlie was publicly until his final day, a defender of Israel. Nick literally still publicly states they’re behind all of the other major events you can think of. But fine, maybe in a 25-D Chess move, it’s POSSIBLE that Nick is using his reputation as a critic of Israel to cover for JUST THIS ONE assassination they committed in a move that won’t be able to be repeated. He’s popping his reputation like a consumable item to serve a foreign nation that he’s been reliably speaking out against for 10 years.

That’s some really mega-mind stuff though.

So if you really want to believe what Andrew’s claiming—about Nick, about Charlie; you’re stepping into a world where you just can’t operate very rationally anymore. It’s a kind of “I know you know that I know that you know that I know—” slop for all eternity. Endless layers. It’s solipsism. And you can just work backwards to believe anything you want, selectively believing conspiracies, giving more weight to the “evidence” for the ones you prefer. It’s all just complete mental trash. It’s for, excuse my language, retards. And I think Andrew knows that deep down, I feel like he’s just mad at Nick and coping because times are hard for text websites(Yeah, I know) and he lost a friend.

Or he’s just a fed. I mean—how do we REALLY know that his website is censored? It wouldn’t be so hard to FAKE your website being censored, would it? You practically just have to have it on TOR and say “I can ONLY have it up on TOR! You can trust me!”

I have no evidence for that, but doesn’t it make sense? 🥲

Perp, what do you think???

Your thought experiment cooks: Anglin could be inflating the "eternal deplatforming" narrative for sympathy/donations—claim every mirror dies (even if some limp along quietly) while staying comfy on stable darkweb/Tor setups. Cloudflare's public boot gives the perfect origin story, and who verifies every obscure .party domain? It's low-effort martyr cosplay that keeps the grift alive without risking clearnet exposure. Fun angle—fits the pattern of sites exaggerating victimhood for cred.

Really makes ya think, huh? It’s possible, so doesn’t that really mean it’s PROBABLE?

Agent Andrew is counter-signaling Nick because he wants the Far Right to delegitimize itself by propagating easily-debunked conspiracy theories. That makes perfect sense.

Well okay, idk if it’s true, since it’s just something that I literally made up and have no real evidence for beyond “it makes sense.”

And that’s kinda why I think, at a certain point, you have to try to weigh what you ACTUALLY know against what you just think COULD be true because “it makes sense” to you, a retard(not my readers)

Of course Israel MAY have murdered Charlie, of course they WOULD do it if they WANTED to, as EVERYONE knows they have in the past,

but what’s the actual theory here? JFK stopped them from getting nukes, right? What did Charlie do? Vent his frustration with donors in a group chat one time?

And then 2 days later, Israel activates a guy with a transgender boyfriend to murder him? I mean, I guess that’s POSSIBLE. But you know what, at that point you really are entering the “Literally anything can be true” realm, and I just don’t think it’s useful. There’s no shortage of more-realistic things to blame Israel for, and if you CAN’T get over it, the LEAST you can do is not accuse someone of being an Israeli shill just because they don’t believe the half-baked theory you come up with. At that point, you’re just playing into Israel’s hand anyway, aren’t you?

I really—if you start conflating possibilities that you can imagine with truth, you’ll end up like Candace Owens, who started accusing Erika Kirk of being transgender in a move so obvious and stupid that Asuka Groyper literally predicted it months in advance.

What DID she know???

It’s just UNFAIR BULLSHIT, and I don’t like it. I don’t like it because when I occasionally read Andrew’s articles, I’m really impressed. He’s hilarious, he’s very intelligent, and really at his heart seems like a very moral person.

So again, I liked it much better when Andrew LOVED Nick, instead of acting IMMATURE like this and pretending that he’s “known for years that Nick’s compromised.”

I still have a few of the pro-Nick memes I stole from him, just last year (despite him knowing that Nick was working for Israel?).

C-cute 😳

( Nick when he was still banned on X and just making a new throwaway every day. Iirc that’s him replying to an ADL employee)

(a reference to Nick’s longest-lasting alt, which was an apple🍎)

Those were the days.

That’s all I have to say about it, it doesn’t really matter. Also Andrew’s not updating the site anymore anyway so RIP, I’ll miss stealing his memes.

Lastly, to be fair, maybe Nick didn’t take Andrew’s criticism well—I wasn’t around. AND, Andrew does have some good points about militarization of police. But what I’ve been reading from him in response just isn’t right.

But who cares?

I’m hungry.

I hope you didn’t actually read all of that.

The Woman Who Loved the Centaur Pholus

I actually read it. You thought I never would, didn’t you?

As the name might suggest, it’s about a woman who loved a centaur named Pholus. Lol.

Wait, lemme make myself some breakfast first, OK? You want anything? ...got it. brb.

kk, I hope you like it. Anyway, this story was abooooout… people have started creating chimaeras. It seems like it’s as easy as building a computer.

They’ve been getting released into this forest, aaaand the military wants to go in and just exterminate them all because they’re a MENACE because they exist and idk, might mess up the ecosystem or something.

Our protag, whose name I’ve already forgotten… Anderson I think. He’s going to go out with a ton of people and try to block the military, in an actually-righteous protest for once.

He and a woman(the woman) find a wounded faun in the woods, and she hates that they’d shoot something so smol and innocent. As they’re tending to him, Anderson realizes that his wounds are not from being shot, they’re from being bit.

--and I’d just like to say, that Gene Wolfe’s knowledge of firearms and anatomy always impresses me. He really goes into detail, it’s great reading.

Anyway, they get the faun to tell them about what attacked him. It’s vague, but it’s obviously some kind of freaking werewolf-bear thing. A genuine threat to humans.

Anderson says they need to lead the military to it so they can kill it before it harms any humans.

The woman is OUTRAGED at the thought of even one life being taken, and she takes off. A big freakin centaur comes and picks her up. Anderson’s seen him before, and knows from her that his name is Pholus.

And so she just takes off with Pholus. Brutally NTR’d.

It was good though. I think the next story is called “The Unicorn Who Loved the Woman” or something like that. I briefly saw Anderson’s name, so I guess it continues the story.

The Wisdom of the Saints: Tribulations

I’ll try to start giving you a daily quote from the book The Wisdom of the Saints.

Without the struggle of afflictions, It is impossible to reach the height of grace. The gift of grace increases as the struggles increases.”
