Actually, speaking of societal decline caused by diversity, Johnny Somali was finally sentenced to prison in Korea. 6 months of labor + 5 years as a sex offender which would normally mean he’s not allowed near women or children—but he’s just going to be immediately deported after his time is served anyway. There’s also some speculation that when he comes back to the U.S. he’ll have to register as one here, but that’s not a certainty.
People involved in the case are going to be asking the prosecutor to appeal for more time and they’re also going to ask the prosecutor of another uh… district, to bring forth charges for s#xually harassing children, which he did do on stream by having sexual superchats blaring in front of little kids.
Hopefully he gets more time. 6 months in a Korean prison isn’t really so bad. Even with labor. At least he’ll never have to hear “Another day in paradise!” like from some horrible normal j*b.

I’m sorry, I’m REALLY not going to be able to give this story justice.
Anyway, again, there’s Garcia, Hoong, and Davis.
Now, Davis starts telling us about his deaf gf, Sigrid. The most beautiful woman on the world. She’d been married to… I think a geologist, who was studying a castle. She visits it with him, and it’s –whoa, wait a second, I’m just now thinking I—forget it, *read it yourself* if you want the REALLY cool little details. I’ll just do my best for you…
She visits the castle with her husbando. But the closer she got to it, the more she realized it wasn’t a castle.
“That she looked again, and it wasn’t really a castle at all. She said that it was like the time her folks had taken her to Mammoth Cave when she was a kid, and at first she’d thought it was just a hole like the neighborhood kids dug sometimes in the side of a hill; but when they got inside, she understood that their little caves were just bad copies of this, and this was the real thing, millions of years older than any kid and full of power and magic. That’s what she said.
“That was what she saw gripping the cliff face then—the real thing that all the castles and forts on Earth had been copied from. It was a ship, she said, and it was an emblem. Her husband tries taking her onboard, beginning to speak in an alien language. She tries to come with him, but she’s unable to stand on the bridge to the ship, and falls through it. She runs away back home. Even though she gets back to Davis, she dies mysteriously a few months later without a mark on her.
She and him had visited where the castle was again, and Davis thinks *it* got her scent then. It being these things called “leapers”. No-one really knows what they look like, but from a distance they seem like apes or something with at least 4 arms. And, they leap.
So a few months later, she “dies in bed”, right?
But the night she died, Davis had this dream of her never getting away from her husband that day—he just held on and kept pulling her stronger and stronger, eventually managing to get her onboard. Davis had held on to her other hand, but just like she couldn’t stand on the bridge before, he just fell back down to Earth. To the leaper.
When he woke up, she was dead and Davis found a red mark on her hand. “Just like somebody with blood on his hand had shaken hands with her.”
Presumably thinking it was from her husband taking her, he goes insane and tries scrubbing it off, scraping it off, cutting it off, but it won’t come off. Finally he just cuts her entire hand off. (she was already dead)
Everything they saw was mine, and there wasn’t a mark on her.
Obviously the authorities thinking he’d killed her, he was sent “here”, wherever here is, I assume again a uh… maybe like a labor camp, penal colony, something. He also suggests “it” might have gotten his scent too that night. Which seems to implyyyyyyy… what? You’d think that her being dead means that she’d gone with her husband, but he’s also suggesting the leaper killed her? Without leaving a mark on her? What do leapers even do?
After he’s finished with his story, Hoong asks Garcia about his wife, and he tells her the stallion he’d gotten her trampled her.
Hoong assumes he meant he’d killed her, and probably that Garcia had trained him to attack her, but Garcia explained he just trampled her heart, when she saw him mount the mare Garcia had gotten for him, saying that women have fragile hearts.
They hear a leaper outside shrieking in the distance.
That’s the end.

You know how Gene Wolfe is. Literally every sentence is significant, so unless I just copy the entire thing, I have to leave a lot of important stuff out, including stuff I barely or don’t even understand myself. It was a great story, though.

People in the comments are saying it helps them fall asleep, but that can’t possibly be true, right? Is that a euphemism? I don’t understand how you’re supposed to fall asleep to a girl kissing into your ear. You know it remin—I’m sorry for this but it reminds me of a girl I was seeing once moaning and breathing into the phone while she “fell asleep” so I could “fall asleep” along with her.

Whatever. I started listening to a few more of these from different girls, just a few seconds of each—okay some got a few minutes, and it’s really interesting how some girls just have the most awful voices imaginable. Voices you want to get away from. But others are very nice. Too nice. That first girl whispering “I’m going to fuck your shit up, respectfully” and giggling was very pleasant. Too pleasant. But so many have this pretentious theatrical voice they put on which just immediately makes me close it.
Anyway, final thoughts? Uh, this isn’t relaxing, none of this is relaxing, it’s literally the opposite. I guess it’s to keep them up on YouTube, maybe.
If guys are really falling asleep to this instead of getting hard, the human race is doomed.

Okay just… it’s from the perspective of the ghost, right? Very shortly into the story you realize that the ghost isn’t uh malevolent. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
anyway, daughter’s friend just died from a suspected overdose. But so did ANOTHER girl too. So there’s a brief moment where you’re thinking “Did the ghost kill the other girl?” but the ghost’s uh… behavior remains so completely innocent throughout the movie, that you realize that’s probably not it pretty shortly after it occurs to you.
Her athlete brother brings over some gay guy—excuse me, a heterosexual longhair twink druggie. She and him hook up, blah blahZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Lemme just get to the end.
It was Twink who murdered the girls. He’s got mommy/control issues and just hates females. He drugs them by putting shit in their drinks, then suffocates them when they can’t move with some plastic wrap so it just seems like they overdosed.
He’s about to do it to her too, but the ghost wakes up her brother(who Twink had KO’d with some sleeping pills in his drink)
Dazed and confused he rushes up the stairs to her room, sees Twink on his sister and literally tackles him out the fucking window. Hero.
Bro died though, sadly. Twink’s fate is unknown, the last we see of him is him and the brother lying on the pavement. He either died too or was sent to prison after she was able to say what happened to her. And he’d have a much, much worse time than Johnny Somali.
In the end, the Mom sees the ghost in the old mirror over the fireplace that came with the house, which the ghost had been purposefully avoiding the entire time (old mirrors can reveal them I guess, cool detail), and she sees it was the brother the entire time (earlier the obligatory psychic lady tells them that time works differently for ghosts and that this one was here because of something that hasn’t happened yet.) She just cries for him as her husband and daughter console her, and that’s The End.
Overall? Pretty good. Dad’s dialogue is often pretty cringe, but his love for his daughter, and the brother’s protectiveness, both serve as a good enough counter of male representation to Twink’s misogyny. Dad also admits his Catholic mom might have been right after all🐱
Do I have any issues? No, just not scary. Presumably the ghost-brother either couldn’t change anything or was unaware o—yeah, the psychic did say that it wasn’t sure itself why it was here. Just here to wake himself up.
It was a good movie. Sad. That’s about all.
