I saw that ShoeOnHead(More like ShoeOnRoach) HUMILIATED Hasan “Palmetto Bug” Piker, after he had some insanely creepy spergout over guys liking Pragmata and wanting to be fathers.

I rly appreciated that. I don’t watch Shoe, I am an adult male now; but it’s nice being reminded she exists when she does something like that. It’s low-hanging fruit to bully retards but it’s still fun to see when it’s an especially obnoxious retard like Hasan.

I’ll make it very brief: his wife said on a podcast that she wanted to have an affair. Presumably she *didn’t*, which is great, but uhhhhhhhhhhh...

I don’t really understand why she wasn’t able to realize(or, God forbid she did realize and just did it anyway) how emasculating that is to even say in public.

“I wanted to cheat on my husband!” OK great, now he’s disgraced.

“But I DIDN’T! xD” OK great, good for you, he’s still disgraced.

What a perfect example of something that you should save for your priest, instead of telling it to the public so your husband’s enemies can use it to mock him for the rest of his life.

It doesn’t matter that you *didn’t* have an affair, even *wanting* to is enough to label him as “not man enough”.

Why’d she do it? Did she just want to tell a story? Did she want PRAISE for doing the right thing?

Maybe their marriage is otherwise perfect, but that just really shouldn’t have happened at all. It’s so pointless it’s actually *insane*.

What value was there in that story? “Temptation exists but you don’t have to act on it.” That’s incredible, no-one ever knew that until you told us that you wanted to cheat on your wimpy little husband.

...anything else? Yeah, I saw Nick’s response to Trent attaccing him. It was pretty brutal. I didn’t know Trent was ethnically Jewish.

You can’t be loyal to your race over the Church. And while I’m not outright accusing him of that, it’s OBVIOUSLY much easier to fall into that for ethnic Jews than for others, since Judaism and Christianity naturally oppose one another.

There is no Italianism or Irishism or Germanism or even Whiteism or Asianism or Blackism that is “both an ethnicity and a religion” and so necessarily at odds with the Church. So I imagine it has to be a real burden. And maybe I was hallucinating, but I feel like I saw Trent participating in apologism for the unjust Iran War. Is it fair to say it’s *only* because he’s Jewish? No, so I won’t. But then, why’s he doing it? He’s old enough to know that the pretense for the Iraq War was a complete fabrication. And he’s not a Trump-worshiping Protestant. What is possessing him? Is he just Falling For It Again?

I looked up a summary of his position, and his reasoning for it meeting just-war doctrine is shaky imo. It really is as simple as “2 moar weeks” for him. All four components have to be met. Never mind the immediately-disqualifying fact that the war started during negotiations, I have a problem with the likelihood of “success”.

Defining "success" kills it for you: if just weakening military (achieved), maybe passes; if stable Mideast (not), all four crumble—Horn leans narrow, but your strict read (as with Catechism 2309) holds if broader goals lurk.

Kk, so Westing is the robot and Street is the detective. Aaaaand… bro, I can’t…

Westing notices some strange colors in a video transmission when they visit the uhhhh… hall where unneeded robots are stored. Street decodes it reeeeeally coolly by *somehow* matching the different colors to sounds. It’s “HELP”, and so they call up the same uh… *station* that they got that signal from, and Street has a normal, innocent conversation with it for a bit while he makes note of the different colors being displayed. The stolen robots, or at least one of them, are broadcasting the messages through the vid.

The culprits have been stealing the robots by briefly turning off the EXPANDERS that are used to uh… increase space within space. And when that happens, the *space* returns to where it was taken from, usually another part of the galaxy, taking with it whatever was inside it (like the robots). Then a ship out in deep-space collects the robot. EZ PZ. The expander turns right back on, and it’s as if whatever stored inside it just vanished.

Lol it’s pretty silly on its face, but the idea of the “expanders” is really cool. In BOTNS there were also buildings that were larger on the inside than they were on the outside.

The Rubber Bend

Another story with Street and Westing! Very cool!

Uhhhh… this one’s sweet, because it’s about Gene Wolfe’s fren, Damon Knight, who helped start his career. In the story, Knight’s a genius author and Westing’s part of a literary society dedicated to revealing that Knight was also some other philosopher or something and faked his own death. Something like that.

I really like that, because I’ve seen Damon Knight referenced in a lot of Wolfe’s work in the introductions.

It’s the kind of story I’d write for –oh, well the kind of story I’d write for YOU, if you’re one of the guys in Bored2Death.

I’ve never read any of Knight’s work. I wonder if he’s good.

anyway. I’ll let you know how it goes. Street asked Westing to stay at his friend’s house for a few days to serve as his doctor(yeah, Westing really is robo-Watson), and it’s a robot who’s like one of the smartest people on the planet because he keeps getting expansion slots his his intelligence.

I’d also just like to add that I love these. I really feel like I’m reading a genuine Sherlock Holmes story, Wolfe is sooooooooooooo goooooooood man.
