I now weigh less than my first gf. She wasn’t fat.

It’s so weird being uh… lemme think… about 30lb less than I’d like to be lmao. Idk though, man. I just don’t know if my poor skeleton can take the heat anymore. You know, there’s a limit, your frame can only support so much. People were talking about Ilia moving up to Welterweight to chase Islam. A 5’7 man being 175lb(in shape)? Bro idk. I guess it coooould be possible. Definitely not for most people. I’m taller than that, and I’d be the happiest man in the world if I could reach 175lb.

I got the Anbernic DS.

I already have a 3DS. Actually, I have a 3DS, a uh… DSi, two DS Lites, and an ex-gf’s original DS.

I really should have returned it to her. I-- you khahaha I… part of me wants to reach out and ask her if she wants it back. I haven’t spoken to her in… about 10 years. I’m still friends with another guy who dated her, and I know he has her number. It’d be so simple. I could just send it in the mail to her, right?

I should do that. I’ll add that to my To-Do List. Maybe I’ll do it before I die.

Oh, the Anbernic?

It’s very impressive. You know, a tiny bit of trouble setting up. As always, RetroArch is a complete pain in the ass that I see no use for; instead I just run the individual emus on it.

it’s very impressive. Mostly just because it exists at all. It’s a freaking DS, you know? Such a unique uh… form factor. Everyone loves a nice clamshell, but what about one where both parts have a screen?

You know why I got it? … KINDA just to have it, but also I do intend for it to be my main DS. My 3DS is a bit uh… bulky, and its “thumbsticks” are *atrocious*. The DSi, which was used, is in great shape—there’s literally nothing wrong with it. But it’s too perfect, and I don’t want to hurt it lmao

The DS Lites (also used) are both perfectly-functioning, but they’re just in disgusting shape. The buttons are mushy, the entire cases feel uh… loose, even after I tightened it up. I like that they uh… I like that they take GBA carts (of course I only have 1 loaded with games) but uh…

it’s 2026 lmao. There’s better and easier ways of playing GB/GBC/GBA games than on a DS with a GBA cart.

Especially when the BUTTONS ARE MUSHY. What does “refurbed” even mean to these people?

The original DS is in the best shape, everything feels nice and tight, just like she was.

I’m sorry that’s wildly inappropriate. She had a completely insane body, though, and I didn’t deserve her. (I literally deserve to burn in Hell, forever, and it’s only Christ who can save me. I’m glad I can finally stop denying that.)

Anyway, I’m returning the DS, so that doesn’t matter anyway.

So it’s aKSHUALLY a good thing that I bought yet another Chinese emu handheld that I didn’t really need.

But why didn’t you ever tell me that the DS has no good games?

Okay, that’s an exaggeration. But idk man, I was looking for games, and nothing really uh… was like “I HAVE to play this!”

It does seem like there’s a lot of great RPGs on it… uh… what else? Actually there’s a neato Alien game, but frankly it’s not all that.

Zzzzzzzzzz well, you know what, lemme ask Perp for one MUST-PLAY action-rpg. I’m getting a little tired of Dragon Quest’s turn-based gameplay. (+ the nightmarish localization that I cannot escape w/ a fan translation on the DS, unlike the NES/SNES games)

oh, Wizard’s playing King’s Field, that kinda… made me want to. But on the other hand, I looked up some gameplay and while it looks really neato, I also got a headache almost immediately :’) I’m just not great with first-person games anymore. At least, sometimes, idk. It’s kinda inconsistent. Like, Routine wasn’t hurting me and neither was uh… Layers of Fear. I’ll f—well, whatever. At least Wizard’s playing it.

You know what though, bro? Speaking of FromSoft, I was flirting with FINALLY touching one of the strangest games of my childhood…

it’s in my folder, ready to go. But… but… ? Idk, I remember it being really cool, but it also felt like, too mature for me lol. Also I think I remember it not looking as uh… colorful as I would have liked. I mean, look at the box art. Look at the colors. Not especially pleasing. But IDK! I should uh, revisit it again after all these years. I definitely only played an hour or less of it back then.

Anyway… --I know I’m kinda dancing all over the place like a complete sperg but but Xanadu Next.

Xanadu Next is on GOG, if you can get your hands on it, it’s a SPECTACULAR game. It’s like Diablo: Japan. (In other words, better, we all know that “thing: Japan” is always better)

The music is OUT OF THIS WORLD. You know, it’s by those devs that make the best music, I can’t remember the freaking… the guys that did Ys… Falcom, of course.

Just a total delight to play. The first time, though, I couldn’t get cutscenes to work, so I got bummed out. But I tested a different Proton version, and uh—it works, so. Maybe I’ll start a new game.
