You Don't Care About the Solstice, Yule Just Hate Your Dad🎄🎅

Look at this stupid fuck's ugly face
Hey friendo, I hope you're feeling well today. Are you excited for Christmas? Me too! You may not believe this, but some people aren't.

Because many search engines still haven't corrected Reddit showing up in the top results, I tragically was assaulted by Witches--gross ones, not even ones you'd want to save--Grinchposting the other day when searching for Christmas music.

So I figured... why not finally answer the CQ?

Is Christ's Mass REALLY a Christian holiday, just because it's the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah who Christians worship?

While it MAY be true that Christians have been decorating Christmas trees for over five centuries, and Saint Nicholas was venerated even during the Middle Ages for his generosity, don't let that fool you into thinking that the holiday of Christmas isn't uh... completely and totally Pagan. Please get that Nativity scene away from me.

Okay, fine. I know what you're thinking. "Christmas is a Pagan holiday" is one of the dumber sentences that can come out of someone's mouth, and whether ancient Christians adopted a few Pagan decorative traditions has nothing to do with the actual celebration. It's like calling my birthday party YOUR birthday party because I used some of the same decorations you did last year. Is that what you're thinking?

You're thinking that no-other holiday is subjected to such absurd scrutiny of the origins of its customs, and the idea of Christmas not being a Christian holiday comes only from seething, irrational hatred of Christians?

Well, you're right. I can't argue with you, because you're right, so why don't we just talk about Redditors lol.

Look at that creep. Do you think they purposely *bought* those wafers because they resemble Communion wafers, or did they just already have them? Because posing for a selfie like you're a teenager when you're in your late 40s is one thing, but paying to do it? Brutal.

When I was skimming through that thread, someone literally commented "I wish my mother was alive so I could see her indignation at me calling them (some stupid pun for those wafers, I can't remember)"

"I wish my mother was alive so I could upset her." That's great. I'm not even going to change the title of this article, I'm sure their fathers get it even worse.

I know this isn't a pleasant post, I'm sorry. It's not what Christmas is about. But it's still good, so let me cook a bit longer.

My entire life, I've heard "Christmas is a pagan holiday"(from the same people saying "there is no War on Christmas!") and it never made sense to me, even when I hated Christianity.

The claim is just so absurd. "Pagans decorated trees FIRST!" So what, retard? LMAO. It's a component of something much larger, don't you understand? Even if instead of the beautiful and purely-Christian Christmas traditions, Christians STOLE *literally every* aspect of Christmas celebration--food, decoration, music, clothing, gifts, EVERYTHING, EXACTLY from Pagans--and we instead repurposed them to celebrate Christ's birth, instead of celebrating whatever-the-fucklmao uh, "Thor throwing his first snowball on the coldest day of the year" or whatever-- it's being done to celebrate Christ, not anyone or anything else. These things, the lights, the trees, they're just... superficial. And you should be thanking Odin that Christians preserved these supposedly-pagan traditions if you care so much about them.(You don't) Someone had to preserve them, you'd have NEVER heard of them were it not for the early Christians.

But these people don't really care about Saturnalia, or Yule, or Festivus. They're not excited for any of those on their own, any recognition they have for them comes in *spite* of Christians and Christmas, and they admit it themselves all the time. They will never talk about Yule unless it's to assert that Christmas isn't actually Christmas, but Yule.

Some guy on one of these threads commented something like "I hate my family, I'm going to celebrate Saturnalia and smoke weed and hope for enlightenment like my ancestors." I check out more of his comments, and what else would I see but this

🤢

That's every person who hates Christmas. Fantasizing about being worshipped for lactating from their moobs.

If you're always miserable during the Christmas season, and you "celebrate Saturnalia" by posting on Reddit about how much you can't stand Christmas and hate your family, it might be time to just consider abandoning your selfish pride and celebrating Christmas like a happy and healthy human being. That's all.

Because this was a negative post, I'll do a happy Christmas post when I can.

Merry Christmas, fren.
